Singles Flex League - Registration link below, this is ran through UTR Sports
We will have 3 divisions.
7.0 and up (GLTA Rating Open)
4.0 to 7.0 (GLTA Rating A & B)
Below 4.0 (GLTA Rating C & D).
Borderline players are encouraged to play up. These matches should be competitive, but the main goal is to have FUN and get more people involved in the sport. If there aren't enough registrants in 7.0 and up, they will be combined into the 4.0 to 7.0 division.
Matches will happen at your flexible scheduling between Sunday, August 10 and Saturday, September 13. That gives everyone 5 weeks to complete all matches in their draw. Keep in mind, based on the number of players, you may need to play more than 1 match each week to stay on schedule. You do not have to paly matches in any specific order.
As the name flex implies, you will need to schedule matches on your own with your opponent, based on each other's availability. Anyone who cannot find time to complete a match by the end date for the league is voluntarily forfeiting that match. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING YOUR MATCHES!
You will provide your own balls and need to find courts to play on. There are multiple free public courts around, but if you choose to schedule at a private court you are responsible for the fees.
Format will be best 2 of 3 sets. 7 point Set tiebreaker and 10 point Match tiebreaker in place of full 3rd set. All games, sets, tiebreakers are win by 2 with add scoring. All tiebreakers start on duce side of the court, switch sides of net every 6 points. Tiebreaker format begins with 1 serve, then 2 serves per person until one person wins the tiebreaker.
THE PRIZE: This is determined by the number of total players registered for the division. It could be merch, gift certificate, or other. Spread the word, the more players the larger the prize
